Finally back in action albeit at slightly reduced pace! I put in the seat belt attach points just aft of the stick. This involved carefully grinding through the inner fuselage skin just enough to remove the core but not to damage the outer skin at all. I then roughened the metal fitting (FC20) and put them in position with flox and applied the 8 layers of glass as per the manual. The outer attach points I am able to access via a cutout in the root rib of the wing fillet. I will simply bolt the seat belts right through the fuselage sides. The shoulder harness attach points must still be done as well.
