Tailwheel-temporary attachment

Quite early in the project you need to make the decision as to what bolts you'll use in the aircraft (metric or imperial) or a mixture. You need to check with your local authorities what they'll accept. I'd recommend using imperial aircraft bolts throughout (AN bolts). Their total cost versus that of commercial metric bolts will not be vastly different.
Position the tailwheel spring in the recess under the fuselage (it should fit snugly) and mark and then drill the forward mounting bolt (10mm if using metric or 3/8" if using imperial).
