I have always found Rotax 912 mounts to be complicated affairs. The one used to date on the Whisper consists of a fairly conventional rear portion connected via rubbers to a complicated ring affair on the engine. The latter is a welder's nightmare as it requires some pretty complicated fabrication which reflects in the price! With this Whisper I am attempting to mount the rotax on our standard Jabiru 4 cylinder mount using a water jet cut 12mm thick aluminium adapter plate. The inlet manifolds need to be swopped left to right and the water elbows into the heads need to be rotated somewhat.
The installation in my opinion looks less cluttered and it is less expensive...great!
