Horizontal stab - setting the angle

The stab needs to be at between 3 and 3.5 degrees nose down in relation to the canopy sills.

I set up the aircraft in a level position using a spirit level on the canopy sills. I drew a pencil line on the stab tip from leading to trailing edge. I held a spirit level with adjustable bubble on this line and tightened the stab bolt until the angle was 3.5 degrees.

I had already sanded the underside of the stab and applied tape as release on the fin cutout.

I then forced in micro as shown. Once cured I removed the stab and added more micro to tidy up the micro "wedge".

Total of 0.5 hr logged for the weekend.....not very good!
